About 4Kali.org Foundation The 4Kali.org Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit foundation, was established on January 14 2005 in the state of Utah by Dr. Stu Breisch and Dr. Sally Nelson. The Foundation was set up in loving memory of their 15-year-old daughter, Kali Breisch, who lost her life to the Tsunami of December 26, 2004, on Khao Lak Beach, Phang Nga Province, Thailand. The 4Kali.org Foundation is dedicated to helping Tsunami affected communities rebuild their lives by funding and implementing projects facilitating sustainable development independant of the tourism industry.
We envision that 4Kali.org’s work will eventually manifest through sister foundations, initially through the established non-profit corporation based in USA and later through a second non-profit foundation to be created in Thailand and possibly others in other countries at some future time. 4Kali.org works cooperatively with NGOs working in the Khao Lak area in order to coordinate the efforts of volunteers from around the world working together alongside Thai families who are rebuilding their lives. Our work will bridge cultures from around the world to co-create a viable future for those in Thailand who are in great need. We will also consider co-sponsoring projects and sharing resources with other organizations whose missions we feel are consistent with our own, so that unnecessary duplication of effort and resources is minimized. |
