Dr. Stu Breisch and Dr. Sally Nelson were vacationing in Khao Lak with their three children on December 26, 2004. In the confusion following the Tsunami, Stu and Sally only knew the whereabouts of one daughter, Shonti, who found safety on higher grounds but 16-year-old Jai and 15-year-old Kali were unaccounted for. The Breisch family eventually reunited but without Kali, who sadly did not survive.
